Take Back Thanksgiving

What's your Thanksgiving tradition?

Dinner at mom's house? Fry a turkey? Watch the Macy’s Day Parade? Does your tradition involve shoving and fighting with other customers in line at Best Buy at 3am on Black Friday? If so, maybe it’s time to reconsider. This is the year to reclaim your holiday as a day to show gratitude for all of the good things in our lives.

At True Goods, we're taking a stand on Black Friday holiday shopping.

Rather than foregoing time with our loved ones to capitalize on the deepest discounts on cheap products, we’re taking family time very seriously. While you can still shop on the site, our warehouse will be closed Thanksgiving Day through Sunday, so that all of our team members can spend time with their families.

Help us give back.

You don't have to shop True Goods over Thanksgiving weekend, but if you do, we're saying thanks by donating 50% of our profits from Black Friday through Cyber Monday to Brent's Place, a kids' cancer center right here in Denver, CO.

Since its inception, Brent’s Place has remained the only Children’s Hospital Colorado approved “Safe-Clean” housing facility for immune compromised patients and their families, providing a living environment that is essential to healing and recovery. It’s also a place where kids being treated for life threatening cancer can still be kids.

Join us in spreading the word, and let's all get back to the true spirit of the season!

To show your support for the mission to Take Back Thanksgiving, engage in the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #TakeBackThanksgiving in your posts and by making the campaign image your profile picture.

Wondering how you can #TakeBackThanksgiving?

Thank you all for a fantastic year!

Wishing you a Thanksgiving holiday steeped in true love and homespun traditions.

Health and hugs,

Liz
